SANCTUARY FARM

Providing a place of shelter, tranquility and solitude away from the hustle and bustle of ministry life.

Purpose

OUR PURPOSE

Nestled in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains of Middle Tennessee, Sanctuary Farm exists for the refreshment of God servants who are in need of physical, mental and emotional healing. This includes missionaries, pastors and others in full-time Christian service.

OUR PLAN

We accomplish this purpose by providing a place of shelter, tranquility and solitude away from the hustle and bustle of ministry life. Sanctuary Farm provides many opportunities to engage in restful activities in an environment which encourages reflection and healing. This is achieved in a beautiful country setting that creates occasions for rejuvenation of the soul.

PHASE 1

Estimated Cost: $430k

Phase 1 will consist of building two stand-alone 1200 sq foot cottages which are comprised of three bedrooms, two baths and a full kitchen. These facilities will allow Sanctuary Farm to host up to four families at a time. They will be nestled around the Sanctuary Farm pond.

PHASE 2

Estimated Cost: $170k

Phase 2 allows for the program expansion of Sanctuary Farm. This includes the construction of a two acre pond with a natural water feature that will provide a fitting centerpiece for the property. It will also consist of a windmill project, walking paths, campfire areas and other leisure activities.

PHASE 3

Estimated Cost: $320k

Phase 3 creates long term sustainability for Sanctuary Farm by constructing a property upkeep facility and furnishing it with tools/equipment for the beautification and maintenance of the property. It will also incorporate the construction of a multipurpose building that will host meetings, activities and other indoor functions.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY

Raised in a family dedicated to music evangelism, Andrew witnessed the toll of ministry burnout firsthand while traveling across the country. He saw pastors, evangelists, and missionaries pour out their lives in service, often at the cost of their own well-being. This experience ignited his passion to create a haven for those in full-time ministry to find healing and rest. Kiersten, raised on a multigenerational farm in northern Wisconsin, brings a deep understanding of the restorative power of a slower, simpler life.

Married in 2008, Andrew and Kiersten share a heart for hospitality and a calling to “serve the servants” of God. They welcomed their daughters, Noelle in 2011 and Selah in 2018, while running two businesses and serving actively in their local church’s music and children’s programs.

In 2021, they took a leap of faith to pursue their God-given vision for Sanctuary Farm, a ministry dedicated to restoring weary ministry workers. They feel honored to witness God’s transformative work through this calling.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

"Having been in missions for over 30 years and have seen the need for those in ministry to 'come apart and rest a while' (Mark 6:31) in order to be spiritually refreshed. We are thankful for the Robertson’s vision of providing such a retreat."

- Eric Bohman / Africa Field Director — BIMI
